This information will provide you with an overview and help you choose a focus for your program. Hemlock Overlook Center for Professional Development will work with you to determine which program is best for your groups and your goals.

Have fun and bond! Extreme Team Makeover™
For a newly-formed team or a team with new members, Extreme Team Makeover provides team with a fun, positive shared experience that bolsters team unity.
VALUE Groups will experience enhanced relationships, a sense of team, and a new appreciation for their membership. |

Introduce interns to the company and to each other. Intern On-boardingTM
For companies with internship programs, this Team Development Course creates an opportunity for interns to get to know fellow interns, learn more about the company, and practice team work in a professional atmosphere.
VALUE Interns become indoctrinated into the organizational culture and build relationships with each other and with organization members, and they benefit from hands-on learning about teamwork dynamics in a professional organization. |

Improve communication within the team. Breaking the BarriersTM
Effective communication is the heart of teamwork and is often the main barrier to getting the job done. This program will give participants hands-on knowledge and practice of the positive benefits of effective communication. This awareness and skill-building program will teach teams that communication is the heart of teamwork and can be the main barrier to getting the job done.
VALUE Participants will have an understanding of their own and their colleagues’ communication styles, and group members will communicate more effectively through newly-gained active listening skills and an understanding for how assumptions and perceptions color their own communication styles.

Add creativity and innovation to team problem solving. Creating Better SolutionsTM
Enjoy a program that allows your team to think outside of the box by getting out of the cubicle. This team development course focuses on innovative and creative problem solving and brings fresh perspectives to workplace challenges.
VALUE Your organization will break out of ruts and experience a new-found freedom that will produce more creative, dynamic solutions. Team members will have the tools necessary for effectively and creatively solving problems and the skills to recognize the value of alternative styles and approaches to solve organizational problems. |

Jump start your in-tact team with new skills for working together. Team RejuvenationTM If your team has become stagnant, Team Rejuvenation will identify team strengths and areas for improvement in unique and energizing ways. This Team Development Course will re-invigorate your team, inspire greatness, and heighten levels of performance through adventure-based activities.
VALUE Team Rejuvenation produces teams who have recreated their own creativity, and the members have a renewed sense of purpose and commitment. Groups find new approaches for tackling challenges and experience success in new ways. |

Improve performance despite budget cuts and diminishing resources. Achieving More with LessTM Achieving More with Less provides participants with hands-on knowledge and practice of how an initial perceived limitation can be a barrier to team creativity.
VALUE Achieving More with Less teams become focused on the things that they have control over instead of things that are of concern that they have no control over. With this new focus, groups with diminished resources have new skills for producing creative solutions, and team members learn how important it is to have a positive attitude. |

Capitalize on geographically and functionally-dispersed teams. Teaming Up for Better ResultsTM Teams whose membership is functionally, departmentally, and geographically-dispersed are faced with unique challenges. Teaming Up for Better Results helps cross-departmental teams to function at their highest level by focusing on creative problem solving, group decision making, and communication barriers.
VALUE Dispersed teams who participate in this program begin on the same page, create a system for communicating with each other for the duration of the project, and develop a strategy for checking in with each other despite not working side-by-side. Team members learn to appreciate their inter-dependence and how their inter-dependence can maximize their performance. |

Enable managers to examine leadership. The Ultimate LeaderTM PREMISE Through a series of challenges, your team leaders will investigate what leadership is, how it can be effectively applied, and various management styles and techniques. Supervisors, managers, and executives will identify leadership issues within your organization and will have the opportunity to experiment with alternate skills and techniques.
VALUE This program is the beginning of a leadership community within your organizations that will enable your leaders to continually grow and learn from each other. Leaders will become aware of the micro-climate they create and will learn how to maximize their teams’ results based on that atmosphere. |
