Combination Programs Environmental & Team Development Course Grades: 5 - 12 Cost: $ 28 Duration: 6 hours Sessions: Year-round Scheduling Info Scheduling Procedure Booking Request Forms We call our combination program the Environmental Team Development Course (ETDC). The students will participate in a 2 hour program of an environmental (EE) topic of your choice and then switch to a 4 hour session of Team Development Course (TDC) activities. The ETDC program is recommended for all 5th and 6th graders, but it is available for students up through 12th grade. Teachers select a lesson from our list of lessons that meet the Virginia Standards of learning. The lessons are hands-on and inquiry-based. Specific SOL topics are listed with each lesson. Students will explore more remote areas of the park while engaged in their lesson, all the while learning about the science and history or our natural surroundings. This program may be selected with or without a zip wire component, with the group size being limited for those selecting the zip wire option. A supper, night hike, and/or campfire can be added to any ETDC program for a small additional fee.
